Recent Reviews About This Property

"Gorgeous views, quiet location, and a beautiful home. "

. from Pasadena, 06/23/2015

"Fantastic, well kept, updated, and enjoyable. "

. from Bethesda, 03/18/2015

"This trip was a Women's Ministry Retreat. We enjoyed all the beautiful scenery of The snow. I don't think they loved the hills and curvy roads but overall it was a awesome experience. The house was great ! There were some minor issues that the office addressed. The 3 in 1 pool table need to be replace. Again, overall it was a great house for the Winter occasion."

. from Bowie, 03/13/2015

"I could not have imagined a more beautiful cabin in a secluded area! All of my guests enjoyed the cabin as well with a few complaints. I did report these issues to the office and they were handled very swiftly.

1. The kitchen sink is a major problem. It has a very slow drain & the garbage disposal does not work. Please alert guests to bring extra dishwasher machine detergent!

2. The basement is entirely too cold. Please alert guests to request space heaters upon arrival.

"We enjoyed our stay with the except of the
Wi-Fi and the landline phone did not work and the basement bathroom was not that clean."

. from Washington, 07/26/2014

"We loved staying in the log cabin. They place was just too far away from Wisp. I will have to say that waking up and seeing all the dear and the view was beautiful. They need better lighting in the kitchen - there was not enough over all lighting when cooking.
We had a problem with the heat in the basement. The upsairs was was warm and cozy but the basement was freezing. We could not seem to get the basement warm enough.
The hot tub worked and was great!"

. from Hughesbille, 04/15/2014

"Beautiful cabin, amazing view, very peaceful. Accomodated our group very well. Hot tub worked great. Only downside was we couldn't figure out how to get wifi to work which was nice in one way because we were less distracted. Deep Creek area has poor Verizon service but AT&T works great."

. from Luzby, 04/09/2014

"We as a group was very happy with our stay. We as a group only had one compliment, the roadway leading up to the property was not in plowed very well which made it very difficult to get up to the house."

. from Capitol Heights, 02/26/2014

"We stayed for the weekend and wished it would have been longer. This home is beautiful and a perfect log cabin for the area. There were 14 people in our group and we had plenty of room for everybody. We got to experience the wildlife with a group of deer just outside the window! It was incredible! I would recommend 4wheel drive if visiting in the winter months, the driveway up to the house is not paved. Definitely would like to visit the area and this home again!"

. from Poolesville, 02/26/2014

"Had a great stay, besides the hot tub that needs to be upgraded. Maintenance people came to fix several times, and wasn't able to fix. All in one table in basement is broke and missing parts to it. All in all was a great stay and would stay again. I give Taylor Made a A+ for the service!"

. from Saint Leonard, 02/24/2014

"Our Thanksgiving stay was the first family trip together. Everyone had a great time and was very relaxed and comfortable. We all said that we would do it again. Warning pay attention to the directions that Taylor-mead provides, because if you use your gps you will be lost for awhile."

. from Germantown, 01/16/2014

"We had a good New Years here. The location is very pretty. The layout of the home is beautiful. We did have issues with the hot tub heating to the correct temperature. The maintenance people were very quick in checking it out. It was about 20 degrees during our visit. The manager sent me a $50 gift certificate toward a future. The game table was not nice and there were no paddles for ping pong. The cable channels were great. I would suggest to put at least tvs with a DVD player in the other 4 bedrooms. This house is very spacious and very clean. "

. from Smithsfield, 01/16/2014

"The cabin was immaculate! From everything to the huge windows, massive kitchen and comfortable beds made it a great stay.

The only downside is the hot tub never got that hot. I'm sure they will fix this though"

"I rented the house for a low energy stag weekend as a place that we could drink and play cards and watch football during a rainy weekend. The house slept 14 of us comfortably, and aside from food and drink, provided everything we needed for a great weekend. The house is in great shape and is a beautiful place for a large group to spend a weekend away from home. There are only two areas for improvement that I can think of. 1 - The house was a bit difficult to find when we arrived after dark. I may have overlooked the directions in my inbox, but relying on GPS alone will not bring you to the destination. I recognized the well-lit house on the hill, and we were eventually able to navigate up the long driveway. 2 - The term "high-speed" internet is a bit loose in the case of this house, as it was spotty at best. The inclement weather may have played a part in the lost connections, and being that the house is secluded is a large factor, but we struggled with the connection rate for most of the weekend. These two negatives are far outweighed by the wonderful house, and we all felt that it was a five star vacation overall. From the showerheads to the quality of the beds, to the outdoor propane heater and the kitchen utensils - everything was of high quality. I would definitely stay here again, and will recommend this place to anyone looking for a weekend in Deep Creek."

"Very nice place. Awesome view."

. from McKeesport, 08/23/2013

"We were placed at Chalet on the Hill when our original lodging became unavailable due to a water problem. It was comparable in size, but not amenities. It is located on a hillside about 10 miles outside of the lake. It would be a great place for someone who just wants solitude. Might be great for someone there to stream fish, or hunt, but not if you were expecting to be at the lake. There are open stairs, so if you have a toddler/crawler be careful. Also there was a smell of sewage outside when you were on the deck or using the hot tub. On a plus side, the beds were all memory foam and extremely comfortable and the view of the farm country was beautiful. Would probably not go again myself."

. from Smock, 08/05/2013

"I had read other reviews on flip key about this property and they were all positive. I concur! The property looked just like the virtual tour online. It was very clean, modern decor and very comfortable. We were only 10 to 15 minutes away from all the activities. A great time was had by all. I would definitely stay here again."

. from Columbia, 07/26/2013

"We had a very posotive experience. The house was very modern, spacious, and clean. The full body shower is nice in the master bathroom. It has a great view of the adjacent hills. The Hot tub was alot of fun and seemed well maintained.

We could not figure out how to get the fireplace turned on at first and the Taylor Made people were there with in minutes to help us out.

Only downfall is the lighting in the kitchen. I'm not one to be picky but you can't see anything while your cooking, which is unusual since the whole house is new construction.

It snowed a few feet while we were here and they aren't kidding when they say 4 wheel drive recommended. Some very Nice neighbors let us park a car at the bottom of the Hill for the weekend.

Overall a great place for a long weekend trip. "

. from Baltimore, 01/16/2013

"The house was beautiful and loved it, but becasue it was snowing and the location of the home is on top of a hill our several attempts getting to the home were awful. We got stuck several times and slid backwards. The blow truck tried helping, but ended up sliding as well as he was pulling us up the hill. Very scary. "

. from Bowie, 01/01/2013

"Our weekend stay was great.. Although the property management should give better directions. The location was great but there was no street signs and the big sign at the bottom of road didn't mention Taylor made property. We was lost. The house was wonderful the toilets was dirty. But everything was Fell in love.
We will
Come back"

. from Elkridge, 11/23/2012

"Very good view, nice game room & very good privacy. "

. from canonsburg, 11/10/2012

"Ok first off I'll say the house itself is beautiful. Very close to stores Walmart , liquor stores etc. so it suited us well if you are looking for a lake view this is not it but yet still a beautiful view. All of my guess were satisfied it was 10 all together and we were comfortable anymore would be pushing it unless they were children. The rooms were nicely decorated the kitchen was equipped for cooking I only have one complaint which was our grill had no propane upon arrival and it took a day to get some more which was probably because a work order wasn't put in other than that beautiful house love the master bedroom shower and loved the overral set up"
