You can enjoy the numerous amenities that include hiking trails, a sandy beach with kayak rentals, picnic pavilions, and the Discovery Center. Park naturalists are always leading fun activities for kids too. This is also where you will find the lake's only public boat ramp. Having it nearby is an added convenience if you are bringing your own boat.

Deep Creek Lake activities, restaurants, and shops are within a ten to fifteen-minute drive. Wisp Resort is home to year-round fun, and they offer something for all ages. You can golf, ski, snow tube, ride the mountain coaster, zipline, mountain bike, or take a scenic chairlift ride.

For a leisurely experience, visit historic downtown Oakland. From antique shops and a record store to an old-fashioned soda fountain and multiple museums, it is the perfect way to enjoy an afternoon. During the summer, you will also find a wide variety of fresh produce at the Mountain Fresh Farmers Market.
