Fox Den is a pretty great location! It's close to the water and still hidden in the trees. It's close to other houses but still feels private. There is a fire pit in the backyard and the front yard, a great deck and plenty of games for the kids and adults to keep occupied on rainy days. TV and Wifi could be better, but that's not why we go to the lake! The house is showing its age, especially in the bathrooms. No air conditioning, but you don't need it at all. We had 5 adults and 3 kids in our group. If we had all adults the house would have been too small. There is not enough comfortable seating for that many people. If you plan to be outside most of the time it's great!
Nice to find all the firewood. That was a positive surprise. As was the fenced in yard for the dogs! Hot tub was clean and serviced just before arrival. However I did call the staff Fri mid-day since it ran out of "cleaning tabs"... we'll have a tech come over...never showed. One did on Sat night to fix a door reported from the week before lol. (and it wasn't broken). So I would give the home A, the location a B, and the staff at Taylor-Made a C-.
I wouldn't let any of my gripes get in the way of choosing this home.

Lovely home with PLENTY of space to stretch out. All thing VERY clean. Everything you need except a few...BBQ utensils and a less complicated TV set up (the casting wasn't flawless system). We spent tons of time on the back deck..if only you could see more of the lake thru the trees. And the walk down and back a bit tough (but that is same for almost all the homes on Deep Creek Lake). We brought 2 kayaks but it was a bit tough in the spot due to the speedway of never ending boats coming thru the channel full throttle.
rented a boat nearby, and hiked in the State Forest... as well as read books and even did some work. Perfect getaway!!

This home provides lots of open areas to gather in groups, and also lots of places to get away and do your own thing. The layout was perfect! We played games inside and out, cooked, made fires, enjoyed the hot tub,

We enjoyed a weekend getaway with some close friends and found the property to be comfortable, quiet and enjoyable for just the quiet away time we needed.

The stay was fantastic. Though we got snowed in we grocery shopped first and enjoyed our long weekend trapped in the mountains. House was spotless, plenty of towels, perfectly quipped kitchen. We enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub as well.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fox Den. Ample space to spread out. Nice kitchen facilities. Some confusion on how to get water turned on, but a quick phone call solved that issue. Water temperature and pressure were not the best, but we were fine. Hot tub was very nice. We enjoyed the fireplace. Would definitely recommend Fox Den to a friend.
