Summer Getaway
This house was perfect for us as it had ample bedrooms for family and friends and three separate levels such that we didn't feel crowded. The overall aesthetics of the space were just what you want at DCL, rustic, etc. The pool table in the basement was used for some fun tournaments on a rainy day. The hot tub was enjoyable after coming off the lake. Having a doc where we could sit, relax, and swim was exactly what we wanted. Friends with boats were easily able to swing by. Plenty of towels, etc. While I understand needing to have our own dishwasher and clothes washing pods, it would be nice to have more kitchen towels, etc. We had to buy some extra. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, bowls, dishes, cups, utensils, etc. When sitting on the upper deck, it felt a bit like being in a tree house; views of the lake were enjoyable. Fire pit was perfect. Kids would have liked just a bit more of a backyard to throw ball in, set up corn hole boards. This property doesn't have cleared space in the back for that so we used the driveway, which worked well.

Your lake house made our vacation! The amenities were great. The place was very well kept. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. We rented a pontoon boat, paddle bored and kayak. The dock was in great shape. We fished off the dock every day. We would highly recommend this lake house to everyone! Loved playing pool as well.

Lovely home
This is a beautiful well designed home. It was perfect for our family of eight. Grandparents had a master suite upstairs, teenagers a room each on the main floor, and two bedrooms for the parents and small children on the recreation room level. The pool table was a hit with the kids and kitchen dining area had room for all of us comfortably. Outside we enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and dock. One of the boys caught 10 fish over the week! I enthusiastically recommend this home for a family vacation.

Excellent
Our vacation at Maplewood Cottage was wonderful despite the rain every day. The house easily slept our extended family of 10. The house is beautiful and made for relaxing with family. We loved having the firepit to use at night and the private dock provided easy access to the lake for water sports. The Deep Creek area has many activities, state parks and restaurants nearby which kept our "kids" ages 19-29 very happy all week. We are already looking forward to coming back soon.
