Our family had a lovely, relaxing time at this very convenient and comfortable home. Would definitely come back again!

We recently had 18 members of our family stay at McKenzies Mountain and had a wonderful time! The house is located on a very quiet finger of the lake, so better for groups that want to be out of the hustle and bustle. One side of the house actually looks on to beautiful farmland, while the lakefront side has a large, flat yard (very good for kids to play in!) and access to a dockslip. The kitchen and dining room table are great for cooking and eating w/ a large group. The house is well maintained. The only thing I'd note is that the beds--particularly in the basement--are not comfortable. I don't expect the best quality in a rental, but recommend the mattresses be upgraded slightly. Another huge perk of this house is that it's a 5 minute drive from Deep Creek State Park, so you have easy access to the beaches and other perks there.

The home was clean and in a good location. I would request that home (McKenzie's Mountain) again. A few things needed to be updated. Like the dishes, and one mattress, and that's it. Other than that it was beautiful. The scenery was awesome and it snowed.

My family and friends had an absoulte fantastic time in the McKenzie house. It accomodated 20 people to include the kids. It was extremely clean for a rental property. The staff was extremely responsive. Can't wait to go back in May

We really enjoyed our weekend at McKenzies Mountain. Overall, the house was very nice and had plenty of space for our large group. The kitchen chairs were a little rickety, and we could have used a few more dish towels, but we had no real complaints about the house. Having three master suites was a huge plus for us, and everyone enjoyed the hot tub and pool table!

We were pleased with how well the property fit our whole family and overall it was a great space but could have been cleaned and cared for a little better. We discovered little things throughout the weekend that were clearly overlooked and needed attention. I did inform the rental office of everything we found upon checkout. But none of it was enough to ruin our stay.

It was great having this small, efficient little cabin next to,the McKenzie Mountain House as it provided our family with a 2 year old privacy. The only concern was th difficulty finding the location of th key box!

We stayed for President's Day weekend with 10 adults and 5 children. The home is spacious and offers great space for meals, play, and family gathering. It is close to Deep Creek Lake State Park and a short drive to Wisp Ski Resort. The only issue we experienced was unequal heating of the first floor and upper floor rooms as the upper floors became too hot when attempting to heat the lower floor rooms. Recommend putting folks who like it hot in the Master Bedroom and upper bedrooms. We like the fact that both upper bedrooms had full baths. We would stay here again. Also, some of the kitchen skillets and pots need replacing with a higher quality product, for families that like to cook. Thanks.

We were a group of 14 staying at McKenzies Mountain in January 2017. The property description was accurate and the property is well maintained. The driveway is long but not steep, a real plus in the winter time. Minor issues with dirty dishes in the dishwasher and we couldn't get the gas fireplace on the lower level to work. Only 8 sets of towels provided initially, but additional towels were delivered promptly despite icy roads. The dining room table seats 14, which was great. A good supply of firewood was provided. This is a very nice house and we would recommend it.

It was great. So peaceful and a great place for family to get together
We stayed here the weekend that the Jonas storm hit in January 2016.
The house was solid - we didn't lose power we had plenty of firewood and enjoyed the weekend. The quality of the rooms and bathrooms is fantastic - perfect for our group of 16 adults. We were also happy to find so many kitchen appliances and cookware. My only suggestion is that the rental property could benefit from a few more snow shovels and salt.
