We are a family group of 12 (2-67) - had a great time during our July 2018 stay at Misty Creek! We were beach lovers - but have found a need place to built our mountain memories! The house was great & we all enjoyed it's secluded location & dock! Two items for note - very rocky path down to the dock for those of us w/ bad knees; second, the outside chairs in the pictures could not be found!

The house was great. It was a very relaxing and peaceful experience

We had a fantastic time at Misty creek.. It offered everything we desired and we'll be looking forward to a return trip. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home.

We had a very relaxing time. The house was perfect for our family and we really like its location.
- Laura J. from Conshohocken, PA, Posted: 01/17/2017
We were fifteen adults getting together for the weekend. The house had great seating to promote togetherness but didn't feel crowded. The bedrooms gave adequate privacy, and the accommodations were perfect. We had a fire in the fire place, got lots of use out of the hot tub, sat around the large table for meals, and gathered around the living room for lots of games. The description said only 5 cars, but parked efficiently, we fit 7 cars. Also, during the ice storm, the driveway was salted and the road was relatively clear. The kitchen is also pretty well stocked for meal prep.

We had a wonderful vacation at Misty Creek! The home was clean, right along the lake and a beautiful little mountain stream and close to Wisp for winter sports. It was well equipped with everything we needed and we enjoyed spending time in the hot tub. An overall wonderful experience!
- Wanda P. from Red Lion, PA, Posted: 11/28/2016
Everything was clean and in excellent shape when we arrived. Everything we needed the house was equipped with. The hot tube was awes the kids were in it everyday we were there. The staff was great. On two separate occasions we realized we forgot some. They were extremely accommodating with helping us get our items that were left behind. We will certainly come back again. Everyone in our group definitely would like to come back soon. Thank you Taylormade for such a wonderful and memorable vacation.

Great house, great location. It had everything we needed & we had a great time.
- Janice C. from Irwin, PA, Posted: 09/21/2016
This home is very accommodating to my family. There were 4 families in the home.Four of the guests were 3yrs and under. They had a great time. We rented a boat for 2 days so appreciated the dock slip. The hot tub is definitely a plus. We had fires at night at the fire pit. The only issue that I can see is that the firepit is on a slope so sitting at the fire was at times a challenge. It is very easy for the chairs to tip over on the slope. Overall a great vacation!!
- Anonymous from Herndon, VA, Posted: 08/01/2016
Home totally adequate for our large family. Kitchen had everything we needed, air condition worked great. Path to the slip could be too steep for some older people. Young people enjoyed the pool table and the jacuzzi.
A super fun time.

Stayed two nights and never left - just like home - had everything you could ask for.

This is a beautiful place to rent, highly recommended we have stayed here both in fall and winter months. The view is beautiful and we are right down the street from Wisp in winter months. The only downside to this property is when staying with large groups we have issues with the hot water tank being WAY TOO SMALL! You really have to space out showers. If 2 people shower near or at the same time it takes hours for the water to heat up again and someone ends up getting a cold shower. Other than this issue with large groups we have stayed here 3 times and love the place in all seasons.

Our group of 12 had a great time staying here. Space and location was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Rented house for 3 nights/4 days during Xmas weekend. With rain & temps in 50s & 60s, winter sports were not in play. House was surprisingly clean, fairly well-maintained, and provided ample space to keep family comfortable and had an enjoyable Christmas Day. Taylor-Made staff proved very accessible & friendly, and made check-in/checkout process painless.
- Kerri M. from Lusby, MD, Posted: 10/14/2015
Great place to stay and would definitely rent this property again! Loved the ease of check in and check out as well!!
- Ryan M. from Pittsburgh, PA, Posted: 10/05/2015
We had a wonderful getaway with friends at Misty Creek. The house was plenty large enough for the 11 people we had, and was in very good condition. As mentioned in other reviews, the dock slip was a short walk down a hill, but was not a problem for us. Also of note, there was no firewood provided for the fire pit, so we had to bring our own. Overall, we had an excellent experience and we would definitely recommend this house to others!
- Janice C. from Irwin, PA, Posted: 09/23/2015
The vacation experience was the great. The house was well equipped and very clean. No problems to note.
- Anonymous from Middletown, PA, Posted: 09/01/2015
Our first time to the lake. Even though we haven't stayed anywhere else at the lake, we would stay in this one again if we needed this much room.. House was over all very pleasant with a well equipped kitchen. Master Loft was very nice. It was a very good experience. We didn't expect the walk to the lake, but it was not bad. The pictures make the yard look a little larger than it is but there was plenty of room.. I would recommend it. We did have a slight maintenance problem but it was taken care of as soon as we called... AWSOME.
- Kimberly N. from Murrysville, PA, Posted: 08/24/2015
Very clean and nice property. Located in a very private setting back in the cove. all amentities we needed for 2 families with children. Plenty of sleeping room and the game room was a big hit for the kids. One downside and disappointment is that the picture shown of the dock was NOT the dock that belonged to this property. The dock slip was shared with several others and not kid friendly. The view of the lake was not as seen in the photos weither, there are several trees behind the property which obstructs your view. Overall we had a great vacation.
- Anonymous from Altoona, PA, Posted: 07/13/2015
This was our first vacation at Deep Creek. The people I talked to at Taylor Made Rental were always very friendly and helpful. The property was set in a very serene location. We had neighbors but there were enough trees between the properties to make us feel secluded. We are planning on going back.
- Anonymous from Wilmington, DE, Posted: 07/07/2015
We filled the house to capacity and it was perfect for us. While not luxurious, it was comfortable in every way. The location was great and we had fun on the lake with our bass boat and canoe. It should be noted that the walk down to the docks may be a challenge for older folks or those with disabilities. Other reviews were correct in that there are insufficient pots/pans and the ones available weren't in great shape. We even went out and bought our own griddle. Called office twice about small issues and they were fixed immediately. Definitely worth the $$.

house was great. had all the room we needed
- Anonymous from Poland, OH, Posted: 01/06/2015
Home was ver nice And suited the needs of our family very well. The only problem we had was that the cable went out @ 5 every evening and didn't come on for 5 or 6 hours. Very serious problem for our family due to the ohio state game one night and the steelers game another.
- Michelle P. from Poolesville, MD, Posted: 12/30/2014
Had a wonderful time. Minutes from the slopes and activities! The house was in excellent condition with all the amenities the family could want to top off a great time. Enjoyed the warm fireplace, hot tub, pool table and the peaceful sounds of the running creek from the deck! Will definitely return!
The staff members that we dealt with at at Taylor Made were all very friendly and helpful.
We The home is nice and the location is great, but it definitely needs some updating. New carpet is necessary and the kitchen could be better outfitted for preparing family meals.
We enjoyed time on the deck and on the dock. We hiked along Swallow Falls and Muddy Falls -- beautiful! We also drove and hiked out to Coopers Rock in WV. Well worth it for the incredible view!

We had a great long family weekend at Misty Creek.
- Anonymous from Monongahela, PA, Posted: 08/05/2014
The house was overall in good condition. The kitchen was a little sparce on silverware and cooking dishes. Everything was clean. They sent someone over right away to fix the hot tub when leaking. Was a nice time spent with family.
Unfortunately we had to deal with next door neighbor owner who started construction the day we arrived. We thought we could deal with this but the work began at 8 am and ended at 7pm. 11 hours it too long for a renter to have to tolerate! However, Taylor-Made made every effort to help us with trying to create a compromise with the consistent noise level but to no avail. We finally had to move on Thursday which we should have decided to do earlier in our stay. Thank you Taylor-Made for taking into consideration our request - our desparate need for peace and quiet.
- Arlyn M. from Bethesda, MD, Posted: 07/19/2014
The location is great and the lake access is good with a great cove for the kids to swim in with out a lot of boat traffic. The rental is nice with a great deck. Downstiars bedrooms are dark so a few more lights could make a world of difference. Pool table is a must if you have boys!
- Thomas K. from Bluff City, TN, Posted: 03/05/2014
The location was great and the house was nice, however the furniture was very old and broke down. The sofa was broken and you nearly went to the floor because of the worn out cushions. The oven door would not fully shut and there were only five dining room chairs.
- Anonymous from Washington, DC, Posted: 02/05/2014
The house is minutes away from anything you might need while staying at Wisp. Great property for large groups. Taylor-Made was super responsive, especially when it appeared we were snowed in the morning of our departure. They came as soon as they could with a plow and salt for the driveway.
- David G. from New York, NY, Posted: 11/27/2013
Cabin was everything they said it would be and more. No gimmicks here! We had a wonderful time.
- Halee R. from Pittsburgh, PA, Posted: 11/19/2013
We celebrated our marriage at Misty Creek with our family and could not be more pleased with our amazing weekend. Great location, gorgeous home! We had some family stay at Wisp lodge which is a two mile jog down the road! The home has everything you need for a great vacation and Taylor-made staff made things just perfect. The house was very clean and very well appointed! We will be back!!!!!

Overall, we had a wonderful weekend. Misty Creek was a nice location, and we really enjoyed being close to the lake. As far as negatives, the furniture in the living/dining area was pretty worn, uncomfortable, and in the case of the dining room chairs, not very sturdy. Also, the hot tub could use a little cleaning. Aside from these small issues, we really did love the house and the location. The bedrooms were great, and the beds were very comfortable. The fireplace was a great feature, which we took full advantage of. The kitchen allowed us to prepare meals for the entire family. Next time we want to be on the lake, we would definitely consider Misty Creek again.
- Anonymous from Claysville, PA, Posted: 08/28/2013
Misty Creek was a lovely home located on a wooded lot near the lake. It provided our family a place to share fun time together and to connect as a family unit. It was too rainy to enjoy the lake the way we intended to do over the week. It path to the lake is very rugged. We felt the dishwasher and refrigerator not up to standards for todays use. The sheets and towels were lovely. Thank you for the use of your house for this wonderful family week.
- Judy S. from Charleston, WV, Posted: 08/19/2013
Holiday could not have been better.Great location to have a boat, room to separate generations, hot tub a definite plus.Basket ball was not there as represented. Couches show the signs of very heavy use.
- Douglas L. from Baltimore, MD, Posted: 08/13/2013
From a five year old to a seventy year old, we found plenty of activities to enjoy. The view from the deck was incredible and the pool table was fun for all. Everyone in the area was very friendly and the weather was perfect. Great time.
- Anonymous from Leesburg, VA, Posted: 07/29/2013
Misty Creek is very well located, close to everything. It was storming out and we arrived a little early. They were not done cleaning, and we were hunkered outside on the porch. The cleaning folks quickly cleaned the main floor and allowed us to come in out of the weather...much appreciated! The sofas are very worn and should probably be replaced...and there are no batteries for the remotes or flashlight (we lost power for a few hours)...but the other than that, the house is beautiful and very well appointed!

We had a wonderful time at Misty Creek! The home and amenities were wonderful!

Fantastic weekend all around. Great location in a quiet area, and a 5 minute drive Wisp. I wish I had 4 wheel drive, the driveway was very steep and the icey conditions got a few of our cars stuck at the bottom. Luckily the Taylor-Made plow came 10 minutes after we called and helped us get out.

We rented Misty Creek for a weekend wtih no kids to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday with some long time friends. The house was clean, up to date and very well cared for. All we needed to do was bring the food! The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking utensils. The staff at Taylor-Made was professional, friendly and helpful with information about the area and the home! We will be coming back again.
- Ellen F. from McMurray, PA, Posted: 08/06/2012
Misty Creek was very nice! Loved the location, the home was great. We did not have cable until Tuesday which was disappointing. The description said there was a "fire pit" but it was just rocks in a circle. We needed more towels and the management company was very responsive and professional. We would stay here again!

Had plans for the 4th of July change at the last minute and was able to find Misty Creek on the website - available! Called and Taylor-Made staff was very courteous with reservation. Arrived at Misty Creek later that day and was surprised at the spaciousness, secluded location, comfortable furnishings and upscale kitchen. Although located at the end of the cove, access to lake was more than adequate but would have been nice to of had more of a "view" of DCL. We recommend Misty Creek and would stay there again.

A group of my friends and I spent 3 nights in your amazing home. It was the perfect size and allowed us to catch up and spend time together while also taking advantage of the proximity to WISP. Already planning next years trip. Would definately reccomend to a large family or group of friends.

There were some cleanliness issues, the gas fireplace didn't work and the grill had no propane. (The wall in the dining room area definitely needs to be repainted. Someone did a spot touch up with paint that didn't match. Very tacky.) Other than that we were pleased with the property. The location is beautiful and we loved the kitchen - living room space. The office staff were very thoughtful and helpful. We will definitely deal with the company again. Thank You, Amelia Hutchison

Our first experience with a pet-friendly rental and overall we were very pleased. Rooms were nicely furnished, beds very comfortable and kitchen well-equipped. It was a chilly weekend and the house was pleasantly warm when we arrived. Being a pet-friendly home, some carpet stains were evident but no unpleasant odors at all. (Lots of dog hair under the sofas, though, and some unsightly spots on bed comforters.) Good wireless connectivity but TV in the main living room was difficult to watch due to entertainment center doors unable to retract entirely...lots of books to read but no board games to occupy a rainy day. Deck nicely furnished and the view of the cove very pretty. Liked the location (quiet)...we would definitely rent this home again.

Beautiful property, beautiful home. Very clean, roomy and comfortable. Only issues were: could not tell from website how uneven the ground around the property is, we had 2 gentlemen in our party who use canes, was a little worried about their safety walking outside; microwave in kitchen did not function, there was a note attached to it from a previous renter notifying owners that it was broken (we easily made do with the ceramic-top stove and oven, but the microwave would have been nice); the electrical outlets on the kitchen island did not function (we had brought a buffet server, crock pots and roaster to place on island for buffet style meals, having to put them on the kitchen counters made kitchen a little crowded); at least one of the slats supporting the mattress in the upper bunk bed downstairs was broken, we almost had an individual fall through onto the person below them. Other than those small things, the property was great for any small to medium-sized group visit, we had 14 adults stay overnight and had ample room. There is no reason to go anywhere once you get to the property, with the hot tub, pool table, grills, fire pit, horseshoe pits and good cable TV service.
upstairs is a master suite and downstairs are two more rooms for guests. The easy walk to the dock and great view were perfectly serene and we enjoyed every minute. There were a few things that could use some improvement, the oven door didn't shut and the
carpets seemed pretty dirty, but Taylor Made was good about trying to remedy the issues.
- Ami V. from Washington, DC, Posted: 09/02/2011
Pulling up to the house we were a little skeptical as the front door and exterior need a little TLC, but once inside the house was a home and served as a perfect place for our multi-generational family vacation. The first floor has two bedrooms and a bath,

Master bed is firm. Love the house and location and will stay there again.

Misty Creek is very close to both Lodestone and Wisp golf courses which was perfect for us. The house is also basically on the water, which the pictures did not clearly indicate. The front of the house which you approach on the drive up needs a little work, but inside the house and on the backside by the water were really nice. Overall the house was pretty perfect for our trip.

We had a fantastic family getaway. I loved being right on the water and my children had fun playing in the stream. The hottub was perfect. We had a small issue with the furnance, but help arrived within 30 minutes to resolve the problem. I have all ready started looking at booking either this house or another one through Taylor- Made. I would recommend this property to friends.
