Tucked away in a quiet, wooded community, Owl’s Retreat is off-the-beaten-path yet still within minutes from the best of Deep Creek Lake! Plus, it is dog friendly so you can treat your four-legged friend to a vacation too. 

The main level is instantly inviting with wood accents and well-chosen décor. Warm up in one of the wingback chairs in the fireside sitting area or kickback on the couch to watch TV in the great room.  

Equipped with everything you need to prepare homemade treats, the kitchen is open to the dining room that has seating for six. You can also enjoy meals outdoors on the deck. Woodland scenery and the sounds of nature make the perfect backdrop for a summertime barbecue. 

Upstairs, there is a master suite that is furnished with a queen bed and wall-mounted TV. You will love having a private balcony where you can stargaze before bedtime or sip your coffee each morning.  

The upper level also offers a bedroom with a queen bed and TV that is decorated with a good night’s sleep in mind. A second bedroom is outfitted with a duobunk and TV. It is the perfect spot for the kids, and they will love having their own space! 

Offering room to run and play, the wooded yard is especially beautiful when the fall foliage is on full display. Quiet community roads are ideal for long walks and bike rides. Throughout all four seasons, the bubbling outdoor hot tub is the ideal place to unwind. 

Owl’s Retreat is only 2.5 miles from the heart of Deep Creek Lake activities, so you can easily reach restaurants, shops, mini golf and more. Wisp Resort has something every age and interest. Skiing, golf, snow tubing, ziplines, mountain biking and disc golf are just a few of the adventures you can experience. On top of the mountain, the Adventure Sports Center has guides who will take you on a thrilling whitewater rafting trip on their man-made river. 

Sunny summer days are best spent cruising Deep Creek Lake by boat. Stop by a local marina to rent one and treat your family to on-the-water fun.  

Be sure to include our state parks in your vacation itinerary. Deep Creek Lake State Park has a sandy beach for swimming along with multiple playgrounds, picnic areas and hiking trails. The majestic waterfalls at Swallow Falls State Park are also not to be missed. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the picturesque views! 

Throughout the Deep Creek Lake area, charming small towns each offer something special. From tasting artisan cheeses and shopping for classic vinyl to browsing antiques and touring museums, there is no shortage of unique experiences.
