The house was great and perfectly accommodated me and 8 other guest. I would highly recommend this house to others.

My group & I had an awesome weekend at Wispering Heights. The house was beautiful, spacious and clean and able to fit all 12 of our group comfortably. The hot tub was a huge bonus. The house was close enough to everything yet far enough to give us a private feel. We’re definitely considering revisiting during the winter months!

We had a very nice 3 day weekend at Wispering Heights. The house was in a great location a few yards from access to Main Street trail at Wisp. Our view was lovely when it snowed. Loved the layout of the house - we had 3 couples each who had their own bedroom and bathroom. It was great.

All of the guests enjoyed their weekend, whether skiing, in the hot tub or just relaxing with great friends.

We had a lovely stay at Wispering Heights over the Christmas break. Our group had four adults and four children and the house more than accommodated our needs. We found the house clean, up-to-date, and with all the amenities we needed. We encountered an issue with the dishwasher, though Taylor-Made Staff promptly responded and addressed the issue. Overall, we had a great stay and we would recommend this home to future vacationers looking to be close to the slopes. Thanks to the owners and Taylor-Made.

My wife and I have been to Deep Creek many times over the past 15 years but this was our first time using a rental property. We both probably researched 100+ rental properties looking for the perfect fit for us and our two daughters (11+14). We wanted that cottage/cabin feel but with modern upgrades and amenities and located in close proximity to the Lake. Wispering Heights delivered on all accounts.
We were pleasantly surprised by the Lake view which was not really advertised. Our last morning we watched the sunrise from the hot tub. The girls loved the bunk beds on the ground floor and the pool table.
We wouldn't hesitate recommended Wispering Heights to anyone not needing lakefront or direct ski in/ski out.

Great house, enjoyed our stay, but the description of being ski-in ski-out is inaccurate. Overall great experience.

We had an issue with our first house, Green Gables, right next door. The heating was not working well, the hot tub was cold, and neither fireplace was working. I called Taylor-made and even though they sent someone immediately to the house, the wonderful people there got us moved within the hour to this house right next door. The master bedroom bed was not very comfortable and was low to the ground. The other family with us said theirs were fine. Hot tub was big and hot! Kitchen appliances were updated, furniture was comfortable, it was fun having a pool table and all was good except the gas grill. Something was wrong with the gas grill and would not go over like 150 degrees. So we cooked our burgers on the stove, not a huge deal. Plenty of room for 7 but if you have more than that, there would be a slight issue with seating in the living area. And there is only a futon type sofa low to the ground in basement so not much there either.

The house made for a fantastic family getaway! The house was clean, had a well-stocked kitchen, and was in a great, central location. We noted only a few minor things for improvement: almost all the doors squeaked, which made it difficult to put little ones to bed, and the mattress in the main floor bedroom was very uncomfortable. However, the linens provided were plush and new, the comforters and pillows were plenty, and there was plenty of room for us to all spread out yet still enjoy the vacation together. We encountered a few minor problems, but we chatted with the Taylor Made staff and they solved them quickly. We would definitely like to return to the house for another vacation soon!

A group of us rented this property and another for a guys golf weekend. Places worked out great. Convenient location to both golf courses.
- Gavin G. from Gettysburg, PA, Posted: 06/09/2016
Everything was great, three couples from different states converged to spend the weekend with each other and had an amazing time. Only down part was the grill wouldn't heat up past 200 degrees, not sure what the reason was. We tried to change out the tank but still the same result.
- Shawn B. from Clarksburg, MD, Posted: 05/11/2016
The houses were very clean. We rented 2 houses next door to each other. The kids had plenty of space to play. We will definitely come back again!

- Farrah R. from Pittsburgh, PA, Posted: 07/07/2015
This place gave us more than we expected. It was clean roomy and had all the nessities. It was spacious for a family of 12 and 3 kids. The hot tub was perfect too. We were also able to ski just about any time we wanted since we could walk 2 mins to slopes from house. I would recommend this place to anyone. The only bad thing i have to say is the water pressure in the shower is pretty weak. other than that it was a great place to rent.
- Duong L. from Severn, MD, Posted: 02/24/2015
We all had a fantastic time. The home is beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The water pressure in the showers was very low, but that was our only complaint.
- Ellen S. from Fallston, MD, Posted: 01/27/2015
This was a lovely home for a family ski trip. It was loaded with all the items you need for the weekend - minus you food! It had everything we needed and more. It was a short walk to the top of Main Street or Chair 4 (for those of us who don't ski black diamonds). I would not hesitate to rent the house again.
- Anonymous from Washington, DC, Posted: 01/21/2015
The house was in a great location and was absolutely beautiful. The road getting up was snow covered when we arrived but we hadno trouble in myfusion and by morning was completely cleared.
- Brad S. from tempe, AZ, Posted: 01/14/2015
We went with 2 couples and a child and the set up of having rooms on 3 floors was very nice. The kitchen was great and had all the amenities. The two down sides are that this was not a lake view in the summer due to the trees surrounding the house. Also, the water pressure is very low so only one person can shower at a time. Otherwise it was a nice place.

This was my family's 2nd year staying in the Wispering Heights house and it was an enjoyable experience. We had a few problems the first year but all issues were addressed during the first stay and updated by the second stay. I do however, have one draw back to this property. The water pressure is extremely low. In a house with 4 bathrooms, there is no way you can have the shower and bathtub running at the same time. No two water sources can run simultaneously in this house because the pressure is so low one of them will almost stop running. Trying to take a shower is like standing outside in a drizzling rain. Don't even think about trying to wash your hair, you'd be forever trying to rinse the soap out. Other than that, the house is great.
- Earline W. from Fort Washington, MD, Posted: 08/18/2014
A very comfortable cabin for two families to share. With very mild weather the two fire places made the evenings pleasant and enjoyable. The cabin is in an area that easily accommodates early morning walks/ runs. We love the area and will most certainly return.

wonderful relaxing weekend, everything was better than advertised. house was in amazing condition, we plan on returning soon.

Overall I was very pleased with the my stay.
- Lisa C. from Pasadena, MD, Posted: 03/18/2014
Very nice place. There were 3 things to improve on:
1. Gas Grill outside was not hot enough to cook on.
2. Water pressure in showers was very weak. I would recommend a high pressure shower head.
3. The cable channel offering very very poor. Didn't even have ESPN.
- Grant N. from Rockville, MD, Posted: 03/11/2014
Loved the place! Fantastic views and great ammenities. The only thing that was really disappointing was the distance to the slopes. I would not call it a ski in / ski out place. The house is located close to the slopes but carrying skis far down a street and then hiking into the woods was hard for us with little kids. My kids ski well and have no problem skiing on black diamond but the distance and set up should have been indicated on the website.
- Stephanie B. from Potomac, MD, Posted: 02/19/2014
This house is within walking distance to the top of Main Street. Not exactly ski in and out but it is still very convenient. The house was well equipped and clean. Unfortunately the grill quit right in the middle of cooking dinner. We bought a new propane tank (which we were reimbursed for) but the problem turned out to be the grill itself. You enter the house with a key code which is great except that the code stopped working at 9am on the day we checked out. This is incredibly inconvenient considering that check out time in the winter is 12n.
- Anonymous from Arlington, VA, Posted: 01/16/2014
only complaint was water pressure, showers were light and toilets had issues refilling. also propane tank in grill was empty, however the service man was quick to deliver a new one.

I actually had two neighborhing houses and my review is the same for both. Overall, we had a great experience with the both properties. Both houses were well furnished and stocked with everything you need. Unfortunately, between the two houses, we had a few problems that the maintenance crew corrected expeditiously which is why I would come back. Pets had previously been in one of the properties which caused allergy problems for one of my guests. The crew came right away and pulled all the linen and cleaned the entire basement level floor. A bed, toaster, futon, and sleep sofa, was broken. The crew came the next morning and fixed the bed and brought a new toaster still sealed in the box. The water pressure in Whispering Heights was terribly low. However, I didn't mention this until we departed. They were going to look into that, as it shouldn't have been that way. The staff was great, no complaints there at all. They were even nice enough to allow us to check in an hour early. Love the cooler bags we received as our welcome gift also. Nice touch!
- Earline W. from Fort Washington, MD, Posted: 08/19/2013
Everything we needed was available.
- Andrew A. from Frederick, MD, Posted: 07/15/2013
Wispering heights was very convenient to the slopes, yet still had a great view and 'mountain feel.' The kitchen was nice and had everything we needed. The living room was comfortable with a nice TV. We would have liked to have a better cable package. The master bedroom's bed was comfortable, but the room did not get enough heat. The futon in the basement den seemed broken, but the pool table and tv downstairs were nice. The hot tub did not stay warm enough, but was good for about 20 minutes at a time.
- Jessie L. from Springfield, VA, Posted: 02/20/2013
8 of us stayed in Wispering Heights for our annual ski trip. The location and amenities of this property are great! It was an easy 3 minute (or less) walk to the slopes and the hot tub was the perfect way to soothe sore muscles. All of the bedrooms were very nice and there was plenty of seats at the kitchen table. My only complaint (if you can call it that) is that the house says it could sleep up to 10-12, however their living room area seating can only accomodate 5 on the couches. We had to take turns as to who sat on the ground. In addition, it would have been nice if their mud room was a little larger as there's lots of ski gear when it comes to 8 people and we couldn't fit all of our outwear, boots, helmets, gloves in the area provided.

Our whole family was very pleased with our accommodations. We found the houses to be a great size for our large family. They were clean, bright, and had lots of wonderful amenities. Thanks for a very relaxing getaway!

We loved our place on Wisp mountain. It was perfect for a quick vacation with 3 kids. Would absolutely rent it again. The staff was extremely helpful in suggesting things to do in the area as the skiing was very limited with the warm weather. Thank you so much.
- Tom W. from Westminster, MD, Posted: 03/21/2012
The house was beautiful, spotless, and had everything we wanted. The kitchen was perfect for entertaining our large group, and the hot tub was so relaxing. Thank you for a great place!
- Lauren W. from VIENNA, VA, Posted: 03/20/2012
The place was perfect besides the grill. We planned a dinner to cook on the grill and the starter would not work and then when we lit the grill it was terrible. It burned all the food and we had to buy a new dinner and throw out all the food we purchased to cook on the girll. I would highly recommend investing in a new grill. Other that that, the place was perfect!
- Shannon H. from Olney, MD, Posted: 02/28/2012
Note to management: ice maker in fridge was not working; gas firplace instructions not clear so wasn't able to use first night. Everything else was fine. The house was farther from the ski slope than we expected.
- kathryn w. from severna park, MD, Posted: 02/22/2012
We had the place for extended weekend.
We arrived late Friday night, after a cold snowy drive. The door code worked without a hitch and when we walked in, it was perfect! Warm, clean, and ready to go. Would rent the same place, from same company, again.
- Brian O. from Salisbury, MD, Posted: 02/16/2012
Wonderful house. Most AMAZING view of the lake. And GORGEOUS sunrise. only negative was that the one futon was broken along w/ some panels in the one ikea bed that left some of my friends uncomfortable but we made the best of it.
- Megan T. from Arlington, VA, Posted: 01/31/2012
This is the 3rd year I have reserved this house. It was good trip. The dishwasher was broken and repair man did show up to repair it. No ice maker or ice trays and mice dirt in a couple of the kitchen cabinets. We will be back next year for the weekend before Thanksgiving but may look at renting another house. Thank you again for your help.

It's a little trip away from the activities along the eastern side of the lake, but otherwise a fantastic place.
- Anonymous from Boston, MA, Posted: 08/09/2011
We were very happy with our stay! The house was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The house was missing pole cues for the pole table and the kitchen could use salt and peppper. We would stay at the house again if traveling back to Deep Creek.
- Brooke L. from Millsboro, DE, Posted: 03/15/2011
We really liked that house. It was perfect for our company, plenty of room to lounge around and sleep. The location to the slopes was also very convenient, just couple minutes of walking. And we could almost ski in all the way to the house. There was plenty of hot water for everyone, which was rather important. Overall, very satisfied, except for the downstairs being a bit cold. A space heater in the downstairs rooms would be a nice addition. Other areas of the house, were very warm, though.

Great property with awesome views and warm layout within.

Wispering Heights was a great property rental for our annual Decemeber ski weekend at WISP. The house is clean, in great conditions, and the location can not be beat. You are minutes away from the base of WISP. We did not utilize the ski-in/ski-out access since the trail was closed during our stay. Overall, I would recommend this property without any hesitation!
- Nang Tat W. from Silver Spring, MD, Posted: 12/15/2010
We were very pleased with Wispering Heights. The kitchen was extremely well stocked allowing us to easily prepare Thanksgiving dinner. Honestly, our only complaint (actually, that of the men)was that the house did not have ESPN for the holiday games. We are considering a return trip in Dec. 2011, if not before.
- John W. from Louisville, KY, Posted: 11/30/2010
We would highly recommend this home! Great for several couples/families.
- Brenda C. from Rising Sun, MD, Posted: 11/02/2010
Says ski in ski out but this house is a fair distance from the slops and one has to walk. Not bad for adults but small children with all their gear walking in ski boots, carrying gear, etc... not very convenient. Also the path to the slopes isn't maintained and had 3 feet of snow which we were sinking down into trying to reach the slope.
- Anonymous from Uniontown, PA, Posted: 02/27/2010
My friends and I loved Wispering Heights, the house was beautiful and the amenities included were really nice (hot tub, pool table, flat screen tv's, mini bar, etc), the pictures shown on the website just do no do justice for how nice this house is. Most of the people staying in the house were hitting the slopes, so the short walk over was a little bit of a pain (about a 2 min. walk) but the closest slope was a black diamond, luckily we ski and snowboard a lot so that was not a problem but if you want a ski-in ski-out and your not a great skier you may want to chose a different house.
- Tiffany M. from Middle River, MD, Posted: 01/12/2010
This home was perfect in almost every way for our group of two families with 5 teenagers. Spacious rooms, nicely decorated & furnished, meticulously clean (brand new), beautiful view, convenient location. The one exception was the kitchen. Our two families have been renting houses together for thanksgiving for nearly 20 years and have never come across a kitchen less well stocked to suit a group. There were plenty of lovely dishes, glassware and flatware, but this kitchen had no large bowls or platters, no large pots or pans for cooking other food items. We always bring along our own large pans to cook our turkey and stuffing, so we were covered there, but I highly recommend that the owners hit a few yard sales to pick up some additional items to stock this kitchen.
