Property Services General Manager

Born in Carroll County MD. My family then traveled to Idaho, Oregon, then finally settled here in Deep Creek. I have worked a total of 11 years in the vacation rental industry working in various departments - Hot Tub/Pools, Laundry, Housekeeping, Property Service, Owner Relations, Owner Relations Manager and now my current position as Property Service General Manager in 2021.  My husband also works for the company and has a 14-year background in the industry as well.   My husband and I have 3 children, 2 girls and one boy ranging in ages from 19 to 11.  We have 1 cat Luna and 1 dog Jax.  When I am not working, I enjoy hiking, have a toasty bonfire, diving into a nice craft project, and spending time with the family and friends.

What are your hobbies?

I really enjoy making crafts, cooking, swimming, hiking with the kids/husband or my dog Jax.

Favorite thing about the area?

My favorite thing about the is how peaceful it is.  

Favorite Local Restaurant? Dutch's at Silver Tree with Uno's Chicago Grill coming in at a close second

Favorite Season? Summer and Fall! Love the heat and love the fall foliage!

Favorite Local Events?

The Autumn Glory Festival is by far my favorite.  I also enjoy the Art and Wine Festival. 

If you only had a couple of days to spend in Deep Creek, what would you recommend doing? (Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter)

Summer/Spring - Boating on the lake, going on a fun hike in any of the state parks.  Fall - Hiking to enjoy the beautiful foliage, visiting local shops in the area (School House Earth, Painted Cupboard, Sip Side Lounge, Train Station etc), bowling, movies at Garrett 8.  Winter - Highly recommend tubing at Wisp always a hit with the kids, Skiing or Snowboarding, building a snowman, hiking at Swallow Falls, the falls are gorgeous with snow laying.  

What is the most common misconception about DCL from out-of-towners?

Alot of people don't realize we are part of Maryland.  Snow! People do not realize the amount of snow we get in a winter season, it's more than a dusting!
